New COVID-19 FAQs

The Office of Child Care (OCC) continues to add resources to help Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) program lead agencies respond to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. OCC has updated the frequently asked questions (FAQ) section of the Office of Child Care COVID-19 Resources page to address the following topics:

  • Further guidance on using CCDF program funds to pay for out-of-school care for school-age children during the virtual school day
  • Additional guidance for using CCDF program funds to pay for COVID-19-related activities, including technology/electronic equipment, sanitation and cleaning supplies, and additional staff
  • Tribes expanding their definition of “Indian Child.

In addition, OCC has updated the response to FAQ 27, Can lead agencies use CCDF program funds to pay for subsidies for school-age children who participate in remote, virtual, or online schoolwork while in child care?, to clarify uncertainties around serving school-age children.
